Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia is the first international corporation to have obtained the Malaysian Halal Certification for its toothpaste and mouthwash products sold to consumers. Apart from our toothpaste and mouthwash manufactured in Thailand we have also obtained Halal Certification for our toothpaste products sold to consumers which are manufactured in China and Brazil.

Colgate Toothpaste sold in Malaysia is and has always been Halal.

The Halal Certification extends a new level of consumer assurance, confidence and satisfaction. Halal is very important to our consumers and as a company that cares, Colgate® wants to provide that assurance through Halal Certification of our international plants audited by HDC and Jakim.

Colgate toothpaste does not contain animal ingredients or alcohol.

• Both the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs and JAKIM have independently tested Colgate Toothpaste and confirmed that the products do not contain animal DNA or alcohol.
• The calcium in Colgate toothpaste is sourced from minerals.
• The glycerin in Colgate toothpaste is sourced from plants.

Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia recently became the first international corporation to obtain the Malaysian Halal Certification for its toothpaste and mouthwash products. Previously, Jakim only allowed products produced in Malaysia to carry the Malaysian Halal logo, and Colgate toothpaste was certified Halal by International Islamic bodies recognized and approved by Jakim.

Are Colgate® toothpaste products included in the listing of Halal products on the Jakim website?

Colgate toothpaste now carries the Malaysian Halal logo and will be listed on the Jakim website. Currently, only locally made products are listed on the Jakim website.
